Scope
What this policy covers
GN-Apex uses small files and browser-side storage mechanisms for ordinary product functions. Some are necessary because a website cannot reliably maintain a secure session, remember a selected interface preference, or deliver certain application features without storing limited information on the device.
This policy applies to GN-Apex websites, hosted application surfaces, and other digital properties that link to it. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains the broader handling of personal information.

What we use and why
A cookie is a small piece of information stored by a browser. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, and comparable browser APIs. They are not all technically cookies, but we use “cookies” as a convenient umbrella term in this policy.
Authentication & security
Maintain secure sessions, detect abuse, preserve security controls, and support account sign-in flows.
Preferences
Remember choices such as interface settings and product configuration so you do not have to repeat them.
Performance
Where enabled, measure aggregate product performance and reliability so we can identify slow paths and improve the service.
Attribution
Where enabled, understand which legitimate referral or campaign source brought a visitor to GN-Apex.
Classification
Cookie categories
Required for core functionality, security, authentication, routing, or requested services. These cannot be disabled through a preference panel without breaking the relevant service.
requiredRemember optional interface and application preferences. These are intended to make the service behave consistently across visits rather than create an advertising profile.
optionalIf enabled, limited telemetry may be used to understand aggregate traffic, product performance, reliability, and feature usage. Analytics is not a requirement for ordinary access to public pages.
optionalGN-Apex does not describe third-party advertising cookies as a core part of its service. We do not use this policy to grant an advertising partner permission to build a cross-site behavioral profile of you.

Your controls
You can change optional preferences here. Your selection is stored locally in this browser and is intended to communicate your preference to GN-Apex application surfaces that implement the preference event.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking or deleting required cookies can sign you out, remove preferences, or prevent parts of an application from working.
Browser technologies
Cookies are not the whole story
Modern web applications can store information outside traditional cookies. Depending on the product surface, GN-Apex may use localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, in-memory state, cache storage, or server-side session mechanisms. The technology does not change the underlying principle: storage should have a defined product purpose and should not be used as a hidden substitute for meaningful privacy disclosures.
Browser storage is generally scoped by origin. A value stored by one GN-Apex origin is not automatically available to an unrelated website simply because both services are operated by the same company.
External services
Third-party technologies
Some GN-Apex pages or products may integrate infrastructure or software supplied by third parties. If an integration places cookies or similar technologies on your device, its behavior may be governed by that provider's own documentation and privacy policy in addition to this policy.
GN-Apex does not treat the presence of an open-source library as permission to collect personal information. Client-side software dependencies are selected and configured according to the product's functional requirements.
How long
Retention and deletion
Lifetime depends on purpose. Session technologies normally expire when the relevant session ends; persistent preferences may remain until their configured expiry or until you clear them; security and authentication data may follow the lifecycle of your account or session.
There is no single retention period that applies to every browser technology. Where a specific retention period is material to a service, the relevant product documentation or privacy notice controls.
Versioning
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, browser technologies, legal obligations, or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will change when a new version takes effect. Material changes may also be communicated through the relevant product surface.
